Background Information (Introduction)

 This week I am used my research proposal and additionally resources to fill out the introduction to my paper.  Background research discussing what other research has already been performed and where this research provides a useful niche that is open for greater exploration.

The most interesting, and inspiring, bit of information that I learned during this research is how dramatically the cost of spaceflight has dropped in the past decade (see the figure below and note that the y-axis is logarithmic!).
